Launch of the Shop Kind Club

The time has come. After lots of planning, working and plenty of overthinking, it’s finally time to launch the Shop Kind Club.

I’m excited, nervous and worried that I’ve made too big a deal out of something that is really quite small. I’ve found some lovely members who have been wonderfully supportive of the idea and of me. It’s made me trust myself and believe that the idea could actually go somewhere and make a difference.

It’s great to feel so passionate and excited about something. It’s been a tough few years and having a positive focus has been so refreshing. My head is bursting with ideas for the future and I know there are so many small business owners out there who would make fantastic members. It’s a lovely feeling and I hope that comes across.

What is the Shop Kind Club?

It started from a little idea. To bring together a group of small businesses who all give to or support charities or social causes in some way. Together they would become members of the Shop Kind Club.

The club will share lots of products, gift guides, offers and discounts from the members. It will also share information on the charities or social causes the members support, including awareness days, facts and where to get help or more information.

There will be ‘Spotlight on’ posts to introduce current and new members and share their business story. As well as ‘Behind the Scenes’ and ‘Meet the Maker’ posts to get to know the members better and understand what motivates them.

It aims to help people shop kind, to raise awareness and inspire.

In the future, I hope there will be online market events, giveaways, collaborations and visits to members.

It’s still Life, Love and Little Things. There will still be plenty about our life in remission and Hugo’s story, there will just be this too. An addition rather than a replacement.
